Game Toys that create life
The game "Toys that create life" was developed in the doctoral research by Adriana Gomes Alves and Karla Demonti Passos Cathcart, oriented by the professor. Dr. Regina C. L. Hostins from PPGE - Univali and received support from Capes and Cnpq.
The game was developed using the framework "I've made my game" and involved four children from the third year of elementary school, two of them with intellectual disabilities, undergraduate students and bachelors in the areas of computing and game design. The children conceived the whole game and defined scenarios and characters, which were created and programmed digitally by academics.
The game takes place in a school, where children discover that when toys are assembled with scraps, they create life, walk, talk. However, there is a trash can that wants to pick up scraps and prevent toys from being created. It is a game of the platform genre with puzzles.
