Free Flower Search Game
The game In the search of the flower was conceived as part of the interdisciplinary graduation project entitled "PARTICIPATIVE DESIGN IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF DIGITAL GAMES", developed by Thiago Lamim Borges, in partnership with Helena Alves Alonso, an 8-year-old girl at the time.
The story focuses on the objective of the adventurous Violet looking for the magical flowers that were stolen by an evil witch. When exploring the forest Violeta finds some animals that ask for help telling that a terrible sorceress would have expelled them from their homes in the heart of the enchanted forest, seeing the despair and distress of the animals the girl decides to help them and asks what she should do to defeating the witch, the animals then tell about the magical flowers that were stolen by the villain and that would give Violeta the necessary power to defeat her. After having the indicated path to reach the flowers, the heroine follows the direction to rescue them even when faced with several traps and snakes that guard the secret places where the flowers were hidden.

How to play
Concept: The player takes on the role of the character Violeta who must go in search of the flowers that are present at the end of each stage. As the game progresses the levels become more complex and with greater challenges.
Objective: Go through the sequence of phases collecting the flowers in each of them and, in the last phase, face and beat the boss.
Gameplay: The character can be moved left or right using the arrow keys. It is possible to make the character jump with the space key.
Mechanics: The player moves the character around the scene having to dodge obstacles and avoid enemies walking around the map. It is possible to take enemies out of the way by jumping on them, but if there is a collision with one of them, or with one of the obstacles, the player loses one of his three lives. If he loses all three lives he will have to start the game again. During the course of the stage it is possible to collect coins that add points to the player.
Game flow: After the main screen, the tutorial screen is presented, where the player learns the basic commands of the game, then the first phase begins. Once completed, the player moves on to the next stage with slightly greater difficulty. As the player passes the levels he progresses through the game, until he reaches the final stage where he has to face the boss.
